He has a well-established and widely recognised experience in in the fields of corporate, banking and finance and capital markets law, both for in-court and out-of-court matters. He has been admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
  • 2019 Member of the Commissione Tecnica del Fondo Indennizzo Risparmiatori (Technical Committee of the Savings Compensation Fund) established by MEF (Italian Ministry for the Economy and Finance).
  • Since 2018 he is financial market law Professor at LUISS Guido Carli University of Law. He is also author of numerous publications regarding corporate and finance law.
  • Since April 2019 Salvatore has been a Special Partner of Legàlia Studio in Rome and Milan, providing legal assistance (in-court and out-of-court) to categories associations in the financial sector, to self-regulatory organization as well as individual brokers and listed issuers.
  • 2011 | 2019 He was Head of Consulenza Legale (Legal Department) of the Italian Commission for Companies and the Stock Exchange (CONSOB). He also co-ordinated the representation and legal defence of CONSOB in civil, criminal and administrative proceeding (included those against sanctions); he directly participated to the main litigations on institutional matters (intermediaries, markets, issuers), also before higher courts (including Italian Constitutional Court and Court of Justice of the European Union). Salvatore provided legal support in institutional matters to the Commission and contributed to the drafting of the main regulatory texts on intermediaries, financial markets and listed companies.
  • He joined CONSOB in 1989, where he has held numerous offices such as head of “Ufficio Consulenza e Contenzioso Emittenti della Consulenza Legale” (legal consulting and litigation department for issuers). He also participated in working groups at the Commission and at the Council of the European Union for the preparation of the “shareholder’s rights” directive.
  • 2001 | 2004 He was a member of the Commission for the reformation of Corporate Law at the Italian Ministry of Justice chaired by the Member of Parliament Michele Vietti and the Commission for the coordination between the reformation and the Consolidated Banking and Financial Intermediation Acts.
  • 1997 | 1998 He collaborated to draft the Consolidated Financial Act (TUF) and he also participated in the Commission chaired by Mario Draghi at the Ministry of Economy.
